# Ban Appeals

## Discord Bans

Bans from the Discord server can be appealed here:

{% embed url="<https://dyno.gg/form/c03c826b>" %}

## Minecraft Bans

### **Ban Appeal Guidelines**

You may appeal a Minecraft ban by opening a **Punishment Appeal Ticket** in our Discord server.

**Important Notes:**

* You may only appeal your own ban. Appeals submitted on behalf of other players will not be considered.
* If you were banned by the Anti-Cheat system (ban reason: *Unfair Advantage*) and believe the ban was false, you **must** provide a **clip showing what you were doing leading up to the ban**. Appeals without this evidence will not be accepted.

**When submitting your appeal, please include:**

* Your **Minecraft Username**
* **Proof of the punishment** (e.g., a screenshot of your ban/mute message)
* Your **reasoning** for why the punishment is unjust
* The **Minecraft client** you were using at the time
* A clear explanation of **why your punishment should be removed** (when requested)

**Additional Rules:**

* If your ticket is closed or you receive no response, your appeal has been denied.
* Do **not** ping staff in channels, other servers, or direct messages to request updates on your appeal. Doing so may affect your case negatively.

### **Blacklist Bans Guidelines**

* You may appeal a blacklist by opening a **Blacklist Appeal Ticket** in our Discord server.
* Alternatively, you may **purchase an unblacklist** directly at this link: [Purchase Unblacklist](https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/34Q7FWZNSFH88).
* If your unblacklist purchase is denied, you will receive a full refund.
* There is **no limit** to the number of unblacklist purchases you may make.

**Important:** We will **instantly deny** any unblacklist purchase if you were blacklisted for **CP/pedophilia** or **duping**.

{% hint style="warning" %}
After a minimum of six months, individuals may appeal their blacklist by creating an appeal ticket in [Discord](https://discord.gg/vanillaplus). This appeal must not only acknowledge past missteps but also convey genuine remorse for any harm that may have been caused. Additionally, it's crucial to provide assurances that similar behaviour will not recur in the future.
{% endhint %}

# Leaderboard System

How the Vanilla+ Leaderboard system works.

<figure><img src="https://615781094-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGGxfzOspwwS5TdLa45X8%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-0e15df14f65cd4507f02a3082aee7f98df4f48bd%2F324626437-5709df20-4818-4990-90cc-e793150b6bf1.png?alt=media" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Earn points by killing players. Every kill yields 100 base points, with extra points for the armor the player was wearing and the enchantments on the armor. Read below for more information on this feature.

## Leaderboard rewards

* When the leaderboard resets on the 1st of every month at 4 PM EST, the top 3 players will receive 5 days of [Legend Rank](https://github.com/VanillaPlusNet/website/tree/main/input/server-info/broken-reference/README.md).

## How points are calculated

1. **Base Points:** Every kill begins with 100 base points
2. **Armor Bonus:** Points increase depending on the type and enchantment level of the victim's armor:
   * **Diamond Armor:** +30 points.
   * **Netherite Armor:** +50 points.
   * **Enchantments:** Additional points for enchantments like Protection and Blast Protection, calculated as:
     * Level of Enchantment × 30 for Protection enchantments.
     * Level of Enchantment × 10 for other enchantments.

## Kill count restrictions

To maintain fairness and prevent point farming, restrictions are placed on how often you can earn points by killing the same player:

**3-Kills Rule:**

* You can only earn points from killing the same player up to three times within a 6-hour window.
* If you exceed this limit, you will receive a notification in red text, explaining that no points will be awarded for further kills on that player during the specified timeframe.

## Leaderboard update interval

* The in-game leaderboard at spawn updates every 60 seconds.
  * When the in-game leaderboard updates, if there is a new player in 1st place it will be announced in chat.
* The leaderboard on <https://vanillaplus.net/> updates every 300 seconds.

## Leaderboard reset

* The leaderboard resets on the 1st of every month at 4pm EST.

# Optimizing Your Connection

Utilize one of our global proxies to get the best ping to Vanilla+.

### Addresses:

**`vanillaplus.net`** and all others - Global (Cloudflare)

**`route2.vanillaplus.net`** - UK

**`route3.vanillaplus.net`** - France \[Targeted towards EU players, works well for players in Germany]

**`route4.vanillaplus.net`** - US

***

{% hint style="info" %}
By using a proxy server, you change the route your traffic takes. It might be faster, might be slower, might be exactly the same. These have been put up on offer to give our most latency sensitive players options to improve their connection through a variety of conditions. We do not directly deal with the providers that move data across the world and we rely on providers to control the routes your traffic takes, but we hope that by giving more options to change how your traffic gets to the server we can keep more of the community happy. We are always looking for ways to improve latency and consider it the #1 user experience improvement we can make as a large PvP server. We only use the best vendors who use the best vendors themselves.
{% endhint %}

# Reporting players

{% hint style="info" %}
Player reports have been moved off of tickets and to a brand new in-game system that will be a lot smoother and quicker. With this new system, we will review player reports as often as we can to ensure that your reports are seen.
{% endhint %}

## **Reporting a player:**

Use `/report` to open up the report menu, or use `/report (player)` to directly report a player

After a report is made, staff are pinged in the Discord so that we further review the report. Video or screenshot proof is required for a report to be valid.

{% hint style="warning" %}
You **must** provide a video or screenshot link of the player breaking the rule that you are reporting them for, otherwise the report will be invalid.
{% endhint %}

# 2FA

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is crucial on Vanilla+ due to the threat posed by Remote Access Trojans (RATs), which are designed to secretly steal account credentials. By requiring a second form of verification beyond just a password, 2FA significantly enhances account security, making it much harder for attackers, even those using RATs, to gain unauthorized access. This extra layer of protection is essential in safeguarding personal information and maintaining the integrity and privacy of user accounts on Vanilla+.

1. Log onto Vanilla+ with the account you would like to secure with 2FA (you **can** secure more than 1 account).
2. Download an Authenticator app. We recommend [Google Auth](https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/1066447?hl=en\&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid) ([Authy](https://authy.com) is supported also).
3. On the Survival server, execute the command **/2fa enable**.
4. You will be presented with a QR code that you scan with the Google Auth app on your mobile device.
5. Once you have scanned the QR code you will now see a 6-digit code in your authenticator app, run the command **/2fa** followed by the 6-digit code. E.g. **/2fa 201475**.
6. You will be required to enter a code whenever your IP Address changes. When you are requested to enter a code by the server, do /2fa followed by the 6-digit code. E.g. **/2fa 201475**. You will not be able to move, chat, drop items, or execute commands until you authenticate. Please be aware that you will still be able to see coordinates, so the best practice is to go to **/spawn** before logging out, to prevent your base coordinates from being leaked if your account is hacked.

**Important Notice:** Vanilla+ cannot be held responsible if you lose access to your authenticator app and, as a result, are unable to access your account due to the inability to generate the required 2FA codes. Users must take appropriate measures to back up their 2FA codes and ensure they have alternative access options in case of device loss or app issues. For example Google Authenticator Cloud Sync.

# IP safety guide

Guide to Preventing and stopping DDoS Attacks

{% hint style="info" %}
A distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS attack) is when an attacker floods a victim's internet network with malicious traffic, aimed at overwhelming it and causing downtime ranging from seconds to hours and more.
{% endhint %}

## Stopping attacks when your IP Address is shared

* If your IP Address has been leaked, or shared, you will want to change it.
* Domestic public IPv4 IP Addresses (most likely the one you are using) that is show to the server when connecting to it, are split into two categories:

### Dynamic

* Dynamic IP Addresses change regularly, if you are on a home internet connection, you most likely have a dynamic IP Address.
  * To reset a Dynamic IP unplugging your modem/router for 60 seconds and then plugging it back in, should provide you with a new IP Address.
  * When you do this, you release your existing IP address so that your ISP can recycle it. When you reconnect, your ISP assigns you a new IP address.
  * Going to <http://checkip.amazonaws.com/> should present you with a different IP Address than you had before.
    * If not try running these steps again, if it doesn’t work still, you probably have a static IP Address.

### Static

* Static IP Addresses do not change, if you are on a commercial internet connection, you most likely have a static IP Addresss.

{% hint style="warning" %}
This makes it harder to gain a new IP Address
{% endhint %}

* To gain a new IP Address you will want to contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and request they change your IP.
* Explain how you are worried about your security, and your internet has been going down, due to DDoS Attacks.
* Most of the time they will change your IP at no extra cost.

## Preventing your IP Address from being shared

### VPNs

* Most large servers will not support VPNs, Vanilla+ included.
* However, when playing on smaller servers, a VPN service is necessary, as they may not have security like you see on Vanilla+.
* Most people can find a VPN service that works for them online, but a free, easy to use, low latency option is Cloudflare Warp.

{% hint style="info" %}

* Cloudflare Warp connects you to the closest Cloudflare server, which you can learn more about here: <https://www.cloudflare.com/network/>
* To install Cloudflare Warp, go here: <https://1.1.1.1/>

# RAT safety guide

How to protect yourself from RATs (Remote Access Trojans)

{% hint style="info" %}
Remote Access Trojans (RATs) are a type of malware that threat actors can use to gain unauthorized access to your computer. Players downloading mods from untrustworthy sources might inadvertently install a RAT. This allows attackers to control their computer, steal sensitive information, or spread the malware further.
{% endhint %}

### Key Safety Practices:

**Install Mods Only from Known Sources:** Ensure you download mods exclusively from reputable platforms like [Modrinth](https://modrinth.com) and [CurseForge](https://www.curseforge.com). These sites vet their content, reducing the risk of downloading malicious software (RATs, Viruses).

**Do Not Share Your Account:** Sharing it compromises not your security and increases the risk of you being banned for evasion. Keep your login information private.

**Exercise Caution with Executable Files and Mods:** Be wary of running .EXE files or mods sent to you, even from trusted friends. These files could be malicious and execute code which allows malicious actors to access your system.

**Avoid Cheat Clients:** Our server does not condone cheating in any form. The use of Cheat Clients and mods that provide you with an unfair advantage will not only get you banned, but also increase the risk of your computer being accessed remotely.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Keeping your account secure is your responsibility, any actions taken on your account will be treated as such. We strongly suggest you do not share your account and if you do, that's a risk you are choosing to take. Regardless of whether your account was hacked, shared, or accessed by someone we are unable to revert or undo any actions taken on it. If you think your account was compromised, please reach out to Mojang or Microsoft support. You can view logins to your account here: <https://account.microsoft.com/security>.
{% endhint %}

### Recommendations:

* Use clients that come pre-installed with all the mods you need (Lunar Client for example).
* [Use `/2fa` in-game.](/player-safety/2fa)

### If you think you have been RATed

1. Immediately change all of your passwords across all of your accounts
2. Completely factory-reset your PC

# Farms

# Auto-brewers

Auto-brewers are not modified on Vanilla+\
You may sometimes find that some potions are not brewed correctly, this will almost always be a result of TPS fluctuations (or you've run out of materials in your brewers).

***

## Simple Auto-brewer

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nScZEKhbUzE>" %}
This Autobrewer type is commonly called a "HCF Autobrewer"
{% endembed %}

These styles of Auto-brewer are by far the best in existence due to their extreme simplicity and speed.

***

## Advanced Auto-brewer

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAcLQnhSu3I>" %}

This style of Auto-brewer is similar to the previous style, except it is changed to be a "1wt" (one wide tile-able) version, which is more effective if you need a large amount of potions.

# Bamboo Farms

Bamboo farms are not modified on Vanilla+ and are primarily built as either a fuel source or a wood source.

## Automatic Bamboo Farm

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXJX5xXW1z0>" %}
This farm utilizes a flying machine to automatically farm bamboo.
{% endembed %}

## Bonemeal Based Bamboo Farm

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNG1OhnGbKE>" %}
This smaller farm uses bonemeal to instantly grow bamboo. You must supply your own bonemeal.
{% endembed %}

# Bartering Farms

Bartering farms are slightly modified on Vanilla+ due to two reasons.

* Entity cramming on Vanilla+ triggers at 8 entities in a block. This means you need more modules than usual to achieve "normal" rates.
* Piglins are limited to a maximum of 36 piglins per 50 block radius. This drastically limits the number of piglins you can have in a single bartering farm.

## Getting Piglins on the Nether Roof

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyXb1rqQF3k>" %}

This Piglin spawning platform is great for getting Piglins on the Nether Roof.\
Note that due to the smaller spawn radius on Vanilla+ and pack spawning limitations, you should be 30 blocks above the centre of the platform when going AFK, instead of the recommended amount in the video.

## Semi-Automatic Bartering Farm

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojydo0MYJr0>" %}

This is a small-scale, low effort design that maxes out at 16 Piglins on Vanilla+ and requires manual feeding of Gold.\
This Design is not recommended for extended usage periods.

## Automatic Bartering Farm

<figure><img src="https://615781094-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGGxfzOspwwS5TdLa45X8%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-ef275b22578ddcf3ef7634d00d8143992ab33655%2Fimage_2025-06-08_220534687.png?alt=media" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Each chamber should have 3 Piglins on the chains, for a total of 36 Piglins.
* The hopper clock should have 18 items in.

# Blaze Farms

Blaze farms are slightly modified on Vanilla+ due to spawner AI being disabled.

## Semi-Automatic Blaze Farm

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zl9Ph0G3vJc>" %}
You do not need to place the fence gates in this design due to spawner AI being disabled.
{% endembed %}

{% hint style="info" %}
You can use a beacon in the Nether by allowing it to have direct access to the bedrock roof since beacon beams pass through bedrock. This lets you avoid dying to hunger while using the farm.
{% endhint %}

# Bonemeal Farms

Bonemeal farms are not modified on Vanilla+

There are a plethora of automatic bonemeal farm designs, however it is recommended to **avoid designs by TheySix** since their designs are copies of genuine designs with over-exaggerated rates and difficult to follow tutorials, often resulting in farms not working.

## Ilmango Bonemeal Farm

This is by far the fastest bonemeal farm for how simple it is to build, however there are a few things to note before using the farm on Vanilla+.

* Do not run the farm over server restarts - this will break the farm. Your lava will be destroyed and your stone will be replaced by cobblestone, which cannot be turned into moss. If you end up running the farm over restart, you must replace **all** the cobblestone with normal stone and place back any destroyed lava.
* Do not leave the chunks the farm is in while the farm is on - doing so will result in the same issues as above.\
  If you build the 5 module version, it is recommended to stand in the middle under the farm to ensure the entire farm is loaded.
* Remember to place a single item in the farms clock once finished building, otherwise the farm will not start when turned on.

#### Schematic:

{% embed url="<https://www.mediafire.com/file/g4r3drwys5c089v/BonemealFarm.litematic/file>" %}

#### Tutorial:

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mU4afBciMG4>" %}
This is a build tutorial for a single module of the farm.
{% endembed %}

## Bonemeal Bi-Product Farms

Bonemeal bi-product farms refer to farms that get bones as a bi-product.\
This includes, but is not limited to:

* General Mob Farm
* Wither Skeleton Farm

Wither Skeleton Farms are a great source of bonemeal. See - if you are interested.

{% endembed %}

# Cobblestone Farm

Cobblestone farms are slightly modified on Vanilla+ due to TNT duping being disabled. Because of this, automatic cobblestone farms either require a constant supply of TNT to be dispensed into the farm or require a Wither to break the cobblestone.

## Semi-Automatic Cobblestone/Stone Farm

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbpQVFLzEBo>" %}
Tutorial by Shulkercraft
{% endembed %}

{% hint style="info" %}
It's possible hook this farm up to an automatic skeleton xp farm that uses dogs to kill skeletons in order to repair your pickaxe slightly, however your pickaxe will still end up breaking due to how fast you lose durability in this farm.
{% endhint %}

## Automatic TNT Based Cobblestone Farm

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1li1daqIS_k>" %}
This is a great design for Vanilla+
{% endembed %}

# Enderman Farms

Enderman farms are slightly modified on Vanilla+ due to Endermen rendering slightly differently than in vanilla Minecraft.

{% hint style="info" %}
All Endermen farms should be built at y=6 to achieve the best rates possible while allowing for enough space to build storage or Shulker box loaders.
{% endhint %}

## Semi-Automatic Enderman Farms

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMgBbvH7AhY>" %}

With this design, you must put the Endermite 2 blocks higher than shown in the video, this is because after 1.20.2 Endermen ended up being able to hit the Endermite. If after doing this your Endermen are not aggroing onto the Endermite, raise the spawn platform by 1 block.

<figure><img src="https://615781094-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGGxfzOspwwS5TdLa45X8%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-607c12f615c0d1c09b3378f15c9c4dab116fabb8%2Fimage_2025-06-08_223942312.png?alt=media" alt="" width="563"><figcaption><p>This is an example of the Endermite being raised 2 blocks.</p></figcaption></figure>

***

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nh8voJScSbw>" %}

This design drops Endermen from a high platform in order to make them one hit, which is very practical if you are making an Endermen farm for XP to repair your armor in-between fights.

# Flower/Dye Farms

Flower/Dye farms are not modified on Vanilla+

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gjz3dNRwaOI>" %}

This video by Rays Works is amazing and covers a multitude of different farms for different flowers and dyes.

# Froglight Farms

Froglight farms are not modified on Vanilla+.

The only change you have to make to a Froglight farm is AFKing closer to it due to the reduced spawn radius on Vanilla+.

## Basic Froglight Farm

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7s4yTXWzoI>" %}
Ensure your AFK spot is closer to the farm to account for the smaller spawn radius on Vanilla+.

# Furnace Arrays / Auto-Smelters

Auto-smelters are slightly modified on Vanilla+ due to TPS fluctuations and reduced hopper speeds.

Due to these TPS fluctuations and reduced hopper speeds, you will notice a lot of furnaces are missed by your hopper minecart. Because of this, auto-smelters are typically around 50% as efficient on Vanilla+ as they would be a regular survival world.

## Fueling

The majority of people will use coal, blaze rods or other conventional methods to smelt their items. However, if you're smelting a bulk amount of items and do not have the fuel required for an extended smelting session, you may wish to hook a lava farm up to your smelter.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMW7llnbx_I>" %}

## Super-smelters

{% hint style="info" %}
Super-smelters refer to large-scale auto-smelters.
{% endhint %}

<https://www.mediafire.com/file/vnurjstb6gpbvjz/Autosmelter+by+Dropjawed.litematic/file> (Dropjawed)

The above super-smelter is directional and must be built facing East or West according to following screenshot.

<figure><img src="https://615781094-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGGxfzOspwwS5TdLa45X8%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-dc0efaf862bf52e421f12738c9280c0bc9f8c979%2Fimage_2025-06-08_195001612.png?alt=media" alt="" width="563"><figcaption><p>When looking at the farm from this direction, you must either be looking East or West.</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://615781094-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGGxfzOspwwS5TdLa45X8%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-0d6cd6fcc7f937362e2cfd377c59ff0ab19c8b03%2Fimage_2025-06-08_195123416.png?alt=media" alt="" width="563"><figcaption><p>The immediate hopper in this screenshot must have 1 stack and 56 items in it.</p></figcaption></figure>

* Before using the farm, you must load 6 hopper minecarts into the glass tube with the fence gate at the bottom. You can do this simply by pushing them in from above.
* This farm is recommended to use Coal Blocks. You can load your fuel into the chest minecart that travels around the lower rail system.
* You can place sand Shulkers directly onto the hoppers that feed into the loading bay, removing the need to manually move items into chests.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you're having issues with this design you can seek support in the Vanilla+ Community Hub Discord.

<https://discord.gg/G84mQa7H2y>
{% endhint %}

***

## Auto-smelters

Autosmelters do not suffer from the reduced hopper speed issue at the cost of being smaller and overall slower.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oa8YF225GDg>" %}

# Ghast Farms

## Ghast Changes

Due to the lag that is caused when Ghasts go through a Nether portal into the overworld, we have made some modifications to Ghast farm mechanics.

When a Ghast enters a Nether portal, it is automatically killed and converted into Ghast tears and gunpowder with the looting 3 affect applied. Due to this change, all you need on Vanilla+ is one small Nether portal and hoppers on either side to pick up the Ghast drops that come through the portal.

Additionally, you do not need an account in the overworld side to load the collection system, this is done automatically.

<figure><img src="https://615781094-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FGGxfzOspwwS5TdLa45X8%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-517b75ff04a84bd92c7e73a76e2efbb981d16ff6%2Fghast.png?alt=media" alt="" width="352"><figcaption><p>This example has one small Nether Portal and hoppers on either side to pick up the Ghast drops that come through.</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}

* On Vanilla+ we do not send the whole Ghast through the portal, only its drops.
* Drop amounts are randomized according to Vanilla Looting III behavior. (Max 4 Ghast Tears, Max 5 Gunpowder)
  {% endhint %}

***

## Simple Automatic Ghast Farm

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMAKZUyGFX4>" %}
(ianxofour)
{% endembed %}

Please note that due to Ghasts automatically dying, you do not need to resend the Ghasts back to the nether, they die when entering the overworld, meaning you need to make your collection system there, not in the nether as shown in the above tutorial.

{% hint style="info" %}
Due to the reduced spawn radius on Vanilla+, you are limited to how big you can make this farm. Make sure to remember you must be 24 blocks above the farm when you go to AFK it.

This farm should be built in a Soul Sand Valley biome.
{% endhint %}

## Donut-Shaped Ghast Farm

<https://www.mediafire.com/file/a4t8v1rpasqe1m6/donut_ghast_farm.litematic/file> (Obs\_)

You do not need to use glowstone anymore in the above schematic, just build the spawn platforms out of solid blocks, there is no longer any need for light sources.

\
It is **imperative** that you orientate your Donut-Shaped Ghast Farm in the correct direction, this direction changes according to each individual situation.

\
You can use the following orientation tutorial to figure out how to orientate your farm correctly.

{% embed url="<https://youtu.be/a0DYR_cK44g>" %}
If the farm is not oreinated correctly, it will not work.

### Building an Overworld Corner Sphere Ghast Farm

To build the world corner version, your Sphere Ghast Farm must be over 50,000 x 50,000 blocks out in the Nether.

When it coms to building your collection system, your portals should send you to the world corner corresponding to the quadrant you built in. Simply build a collection system there.

{% hint style="info" %}
The main downside to this version of the farm is that the world corners are frequently visited, meaning your collection system will be found very often.
{% endhint %}

### Building a Multiple Collection Point Sphere Ghast Farm

To build the version that uses multiple collection points, you should use the same co-ordinate method that you would use to make a normal Donut-Shaped Ghast Farm; one co-ordinate should be over 50,000 and the other should be below 50,000.

When linking the portals, take the co-ordinates from the furthest left point of the sphere and the furthest right point of the sphere, then multiply those co-ordinates respectively and make overworld collection systems at both those co-ordinates in the Overworld.\
If you still need one more portal due to Ghasts not being processed and clogging the farm, take the co-ordinates from the centre of the farm, multiply them by 8 and make a third collection point at those co-ordinates in the Overworld.

{% hint style="info" %}
Pros: This version will not be found as quick as the world corner version\
Cons: Having multiple collection points makes collecting your drops more tedious.
{% endhint %}

# Gold Farms

Gold farms are modified on Vanilla+ due to several reasons.

## Overworld Gold Farms

Overworld Gold farms that utilize spamming nether portals are nerfed on Vanilla+, this is due to two things. The first being the 48 block spawn radius creating the need for alternative accounts to be present in order to fully load the farms. The second being a server mechanic in which when there are a large amount of the same mob in a chunk for an extended period of time, they will despawn. This is an issue with Overworld Gold farms since the time before a Zombie Pigmen is killed is quite long.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7_H9ngtyCI>" %}
\* note you can only build two layers of this farm if you are not using an alternative account to load extra layers.
{% endembed %}

## Magma Based Gold Farms

All magma based gold farms need to be slightly modified.\
If you are too close to mobs that are spawned through pack spawning, their AI will not work, clogging your farm and killing your rates. If you are having this issue, make your afk spot/kill chamber further away from the spawning spots. If you have a farm design that has spawn spaces above and below you, you will need to remove a few layers to fix the issue.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uh3X0Pmr9yc>" %}
\* this farm quickly moves Zombie Pigmen to the overworld in order to free up the mobcap.\\

{% hint style="info" %}
This farm should be built in a Nether Wastes biome.
{% endhint %}

## Nether Portal Spam Gold Farms

These are by far the best type of gold farm on Vanilla+, the main drawback being that they require a large amount of obsidian to make.

* Donut-Shaped Gold Farm\

# Raid Farms

How to setup a raid farm on Vanilla+

Though Vanilla+ is currently running on 1.21.4, none of the changes made to Raid Farm mechanics in update 1.21 are active on Vanilla+.\
\
Raid farms are easily one of the most difficult farms to make in Minecraft. Additionally, because of the number of mobs that some raid farms are able to spawn, Vanilla+ has optimizations put in place to:\
\
A: Improve the performance of the individual mobs.\
B: Nerf the speed at which mobs can spawn.\
C: Remove some useless mobs entirely.

Due to these optimizations, little to no YouTube designs work on Vanilla+.\
Thankfully, our wonderful community has designed a few working designs.

### Why is my Stacking Raid Farm not working?

* Make sure to check **ALL** Redstone
* Check the y levels and sub-coordinates for villagers, the bottom villager should be at the sub-chunk co-ordinates `9,8`
* Change the hopper clock to have 6 items in it
* Check the ticks on all redstone repeaters are correct
* Check the spawning platform (nothing should be in the way vertically)
* Make sure you're using a NON KB sword or fire aspect
* Make sure your composters for the villagers are correct so one is higher than the other
* Make sure there's no nitwit villagers (ones with green robes)
* If you're getting the raid victory bar, ensure all villager pods are getting Redstone signals sent to them
* Ensure you have not used blocks that cannot conduct Redstone in place of solid blocks. (Glass)
* **Make sure to break all temporary blocks once you have finished building the farm**

### Common Questions

Q: My villagers despawned, why?\
\
A: Your villagers did not despawn, they were likely hjit by lightning. Ensure there is a large roof over your villager pods or place a lightning rod away from the villagers to divert any lightning.

Q: I accidentally built my farm at the wrong sub-chunk co-ordinates, how can I fix this?\
\
A: You can't, take down the farm and rebuild it correctly.

Q: I need a storage system, where can I find one?\
\
A: [Raid Farm Auto-Crafter](/farm-additions/raid-farm-auto-crafter)

# Shulker Farms

Shulker farms are slightly modified on Vanilla+ due to paper servers causing a few issues with Shulker behaviour.\
Due to this, designs often have to be altered to work effectively and be unbreakable.

## Automatic Shulker Farm

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7JZWGcnHYA>" %}
You must use the schematic below since it's slightly altered from the tutorial, however this showcase is important to watch.
{% endembed %}

{% embed url="<https://www.mediafire.com/file/i7lgaw19m4o2hx7/The_Archivists_Shulker_Farm_V4.litematic/file>" %}

Shulker farms work through the mechanic where if a Shulker is hit by a Shulker bullet, it has a chance to duplicate itself and teleport elsewhere. The changes made to this farm manipulate those properties to create a safe chamber in the event your original Shulker accidentally dies, which has a low chance of happening but is not impossible.

In the event your main Shulker does die, simply flick the lever and your safety Shulkers will be released into the farm, replacing the original Shulker.

Once your safety Shulkers are released into the farm, ensure to flick the lever back down.

# Slime Farms

Slime Farms are slightly modified on Vanilla+ due the majority of 1.21 Oozing Slime Farms do not work due to Vanilla+'s entity cramming limit being set to 8 entities with scaffolding and vines not preventing entity cramming.

{% endembed %}

# Villagers

Villagers are significantly modified on Vanilla+.

Villagers are limited per chunk to 4 unoptimized villagers and 24 optimized villagers. Any villagers exceeding these limits may despawn after a short period of time.

You can optimize a villager by simply trading with it or by using a nametag named “Optimize” on the villager. This will not consume the nametag.

When a villager is optimized, it only improves server performance and has no other gameplay effects. Villager trade restock times are unaffected.

If you wish to un-optimize a villager, simply name it anything else. This will not consume the nametag.

***

## Villager Breeders

Villager breeders are slightly modified on Vanilla+ due to the 6 villager per chunk limit, causing them to not be infinitely stack-able.

It is suggested to move your villagers a chunk away from where they were originally bred, as this **sometimes** causes issues with breeders breaking.

The Endermite location has to be built higher than in the schematic due to 1.20.4 changing Endermen's reach distance.

# Wither Skeleton Farms

Wither Skeleton farms are slightly modified on Vanilla+ for two reasons.

Some designs do not work on Vanilla+ due to them relying on mobcap manipulation, which is not possible on Vanilla+ due to the reduced local mobcap. This includes designs like Ianxofour's instant Wither Skeleton farm.

All Wither Skeleton farms must have their AFK spot 30 blocks away from the farm itself, this is due to Wither Skeleton pack-spawning AI being disabled if the player is too close to the Wither Skeletons.

***

# Item Sorters

Item sorters are slightly modified on Vanilla+ due to reduced hopper speeds.

## Basic Item Sorter

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2npoihZswms>" %}

This is the most basic version of an item sorter, they're effective for farms that have a low amount of item drops per second, however if your farm has a high number of drops per second, you'll need the following 8x hopper speed item sorter.

***

## 8x Hopper Minecart Item Sorter

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQkErJBQSxo>" %}
\* skip to 10:47
{% endembed %}

This tutorial shows how to build a 8x hopper speed item sorter by utilizing hopper minecarts, which is useful for farms such as raid farms, gold farms and any other high item drops per second farm.\
\
If you are having issues with your filters not working, break and replace all the Redstone comparators and Redstone torches.\
\
This item sorter utilizes a difference in mechanics between hoppers and hopper minecarts, in that a regular hopper only checks for items every 8 game-ticks, whereas a hopper minecart checks for items every one game-tick, hence it being named "8x".

Nothing changes with the Redstone in Shulker box loaders on Vanilla+, the only thing you may have to change is adding a wall on the sides of your Shulker box and Redstone comparator, to keep the Shulker boxes from flying out of the farm.

You may occasionally notice a filled Shulker box has landed in the hopper next to it if you tile these next to each-other, this is nothing to worry about, just a product of TPS fluctuation.

# Fabric Autoclicker

<https://modrinth.com/mod/auto-clicker>\
\
When using this mod, ensure you do not have mob-mode enabled, as it is bannable on our network.

This auto-clicker mod allows you to automatically click while Minecraft is minimised, so long as the "pause of minimised" setting is disabled. To disable this, hit f3+p.

Ensure you have the most recent version of the mod for the version you are using downloaded, not doing so many result in the mod not working as intended.

The majority of farms only require an interval of 13 ticks, with spamming and respect cooldown turned on.

# Itemscroller

\
When using Itemscroller, it is essential that you remove the mod from your mods folder before engaging in PvP. Not doing so will result in a ban from the network.

General guide for Itemscroller: <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOfo8eoeTdQ> (abfielder)

Here at Vanilla+, we have a packet rate limiter on the server to prevent lag. Due to this, your Itemscroller mod will need to be configured before use.\
\
Configuration for crafting:

* Set "massCraftInterval" to 40
* Set "massCraftIterations" to 36
* Set "packetRateLimit" to 10
* Enable "rateLimitClickPackets"

***

Configuration for villager trading:

* Disable "rateLimitClickPackets"
* Optionally, bind "villagerTradeFavorites" to right click. This way you can right click a villager twice to instantly trade with it.
